Foul Mouth Twitter Feed Lands TV Deal

First there was Facebook, the movie. Now, brace yourself for Twitter, the TV show. Well, kind of.
Yesterday, CBS announced it had ordered a sitcom based on “Shit My Dad Says”—a popular Twitter account that was founded by 28-year-old Justin Halpern and features the hilarious and world-weary daily musings of his 73-year-old father. The account currently boasts around 700,000 followers. A sample of what you might see on the series:
“Son, no one gives a shit about all the things your cell phone does. You didn’t invent it, you just bought it. Anybody can do that.”
Recently, Fox announced it would develop a comedy based on TextsFromLastNight.com—another overnight web sensation, which houses a user-generated (and often-obscene) assortment of text messages from the previous evening.
