Dreaming of a vacation? Does Reykjavik, glaciers and thermal baths come to mind? Iceland’s low fare airline Iceland Express has a fun interactive video called Iceland Socks that may have you re-thinking your next vacation destination.

What is it? Essentially they give you a selection of sock puppets to choose from, a variety of scenic Icelandic backgrounds and then you add whatever subtitles you like to each scene and then presto…you’ve made a fine movie to send to friends. Sock puppets and air travel? Why not? According to the airline’s somewhat irreverent blog the puppets are for you to say what you think about Iceland and not what the Icelandic Tourist Board might say if they were adding the subtitles.

Here’s a version called Tugard & Loonhal go to Iceland that is sure to be nominated for something. The lyrical work of Iceland’s most eclectic export was the subconscious inspiration.
